Kerrie: Accredited Exercise Physiologist and GLA:D Facilitator

Kerrie is a seasoned Accredited Exercise Physiologist with an impressive international background in physical wellness and rehabilitation. Her academic journey began in England, where she completed her degree in Exercise Physiology, laying the groundwork for her commitment to health through physical activity. Upon returning to Zimbabwe, Kerrie applied her knowledge and passion by running her own gymnasium, where she inspired individuals to embrace fitness and wellness as a lifestyle.

A Lifelong Commitment to Learning and Rehabilitation

Since moving to Australia in 2005, Kerrie has dedicated herself to continuous learning and professional development in the field of exercise science. Her deep-seated belief in the transformative power of regular and targeted exercise programs has guided her career and her approach to client care. Kerrie’s passion for rehabilitation through exercise and functional movement led her to complete her GLA:D (Good Life with OsteoArthritis: Denmark) facilitator training in 2023, positioning her as our lead GLA:D facilitator. Kerrie is also a certified “Lungs In Action” Instructor enabling her to develop and supervise suitable exercise programs for anyone living with a chronic lung condition.

Specialized in Pilates and Parkinson’s Rehabilitation

In addition to her extensive exercise physiology expertise, Kerrie is a qualified Pilates instructor. Her devotion to Pilates complements her holistic approach to physical wellness, emphasizing core strength, flexibility, and balanced movement. This background makes Kerrie an ideal therapist for individuals living with Parkinson’s disease, as she understands the importance of exercise in managing and minimizing symptoms of the condition, aiming to enhance their quality of life through improved physical function.
